This month, Jayne Bateman told us about the wonderful work she does with Riding for the Disabled. She explained children and adults with a variety of health issues attend. Andrea, the treasurer, also came along and explained how, following a severe stroke 10 years ago, it had helped her. In addition, photos conveyed what a very satisfying and rewarding service is given to the community.

A very big thank you to those who attended our Coffee Morning on Saturday 13th September when we were raising funds for St Nicholas Hospice. Thank you also to those who baked, set up, served and donated raffle prizes. The hall was busy and we were delighted to welcome the local cyclists for the second time. We are pleased to report we are handing over £731.20 to the charity. Watch this space for next year!
Our next meeting is on Thursday 9th October at 7.30pm in Pakenham Village Hall when we shall welcome Janette from Well Beans in Pakenham who is a reflexology practitioner and will talk to us about this alternative medical practice involving pressure to specific points on feet, ears and hands; a treatment which has been around for many hundreds of years.
Doors open at 7pm to enable members to chat. Meeting notices are first, followed by our speaker, refreshments and drawing the raffle. Do come and join us.
We have our ‘Ladies Who Lunch’ this month and hoping to arrange a Christmas shopping trip.
