AUGUST 11th 2022 – The High-Jacking of Edith Cavell
Tony Diamond stepped in as speaker at the last minute, and gave a fascinating insight into the execution of Norwich nurse Edith Cavell by a German firing squad. Convicted of spying Edith’s only crime was to nurse and heal the armed forces in the First World War. Only after the war did the entire world recognise her contribution and heroism, a wonderful tribute to an amazing woman, expertly delivered by Tony.

AUGUST 25th 2022 – Ladies Who Lunch
This month’s lunch is at The Fox and Hounds, Thurston, we look forward to tasting another local restaurants cuisine.

SEPTEMBER 8th 2022 – The Art of Dressmaking
Hilary Pearce a trained seamstress is our guest speaker for the evening and she will demonstrate and talk on her love of dressmaking.  Hilary and her husband an upholsterer have a well-known established business in Ixworth.

The Pakenham ladies are holding their Annual Macmillan Coffee morning in Pakenham Village Hall on October 8th from 10 to 12 pm. This year’s event is in memory of Keith Addington. See the advertising poster.
