APRIL 28TH – LADIES WHO LUNCH
Last month’s lunch was at The White Horse Badwell Ash. The most fabulous food, service and ambience, which I can highly recommend.

MAY 12TH 2022 – ALDANITI AND MY WONDERFUL RACING LIFE
We were so delighted to welcome Bob Champion to tell the remarkable story of his racing career. This truly inspirational and delightful man enthralled the audience with his life’s career in the horse racing world. Born in Yorkshire he worked his way up from being a stable boy to fulfilling his childhood dream of being a championship jockey and riding in the Grand National. He fought a life changing cancer verdict, spending months in hospital undergoing harrowing treatment and then many months convalescing in the USA, returning to racing once more. He then set up the Bob Champion Cancer Charity raising vast amounts for research.
We celebrated Beryl’s 80th birthday, welcomed more new members, conducted a Resolution vote and finished off with compulsory AGM. I was honoured to remain as president. Quite a meeting!!!!
