A Merry Christmas and A Happy, Far, Far Better New Year from  Pakenham WI

3RD DECEMBER 2020 – COMMITTEE ZOOM MEETING
Sadly it was another meeting of impending cancellations and making hopeful plans for a better 2021. We were delighted to hear that our request for a Village Hall Christmas tree was going ahead thanks to a generous donation from the PPC, and the help of VH chair Karl Scott to purchase and install, thank you to both.

Our 100th birthday celebrations are on an indefinite hold but we hope to erect a birthday banner on the village hall our home address since 1936, and we intend to purchase a bench for outside the hall to commemorate this auspicious occasion.
WI-Happy 100 Birthday
We voted unanimously to take part in Radio Suffolk’s Doorstep Carols on 16th and 24th December at 6 pm with the assistance of a builders ghetto blaster (radio) to relay the programme, socially distanced outside the hall. We hope the village residents will join us from their doorsteps.

10TH DECEMBER 2020 – PAKENHAM WI CHRISTMAS ZOOM MEETING
Where would be without zoom.!!!!! We all enjoyed a lovely on screen pre-Christmas chat and virtual encounter with our members. So very lovely to meet up and hear each others news and plans for the coming festive season. We all commented on Nick's brilliant Christmas tree outside The Fox, well done Nick. I was also delighted to tell members of another prospective new member, a total of three now awaiting our resumption.
