Pakenham WI

ZoomWhere would we be without Zoom.!!!!!

This month thanks to Lisa we achieved an even more successful Zoom committee meeting, all members in attendance with not one malfunction or hitch. We are at long last getting the hang of this technology.

Obviously all is on hold for the December meeting until the government publish the new covid guidelines on the 2nd of the month. Regulations allowing we will attempt to organise a Christmas get together even if it has to be a members Zoom celebration.

We did discuss how wonderful it would be if all the Pakenham residents displayed Christmas decorations outside of their homes and gardens this year to give the village some festive cheer and brightness in these strange and difficult times. I have requested that The Parish Council and Village Hall Committee organise a big Christmas tree outside the village hall, to inject some festive cheer into the village as there will be no inside togetherness.

CeliaWe lose our wonderful programme secretary Celia in the next few weeks, when she moves to Hull to be near her daughter. So sad, but our loss will be Hull’s gain. Thank you Celia for your friendship and marvellous contribution to our institute, we will miss you lots.

Our love and good wishes go to our member Louise Croft for a speedy recovery after her stay in hospital.

Keep smiling, keep safe and keep well everyone.
