Pakenham WI

Happy New Year
Our hearts, thoughts and prayers go to Jim Burrows and family on the death of dear Sal on New Years Day, a well-loved and respected member of our institute for many years.

WI Annual Christmas DinnerDecember 10th 2015 - The Annual Christmas Dinner
We ended 2015 with a fabulous Christmas Dinner evening. My thanks to Andrea and her team for the best Christmas Dinner ever, my committee and members for their great company and Harry and Alan (The Caverners) for their exceptional performance of the 50/60’s music that played such an important part of our youth.

The Senior's Christmas DinnerDecember 19th 2015 - The Senior's Christmas Dinner
Pakenham WI excelled yet again with a brilliant dancing rendition of Queen’s Break Free, using the humble hoover and sweeping brush. It’s not what you do or how you do it, it’s the fun you have and provide for others. Great job girls.!!!!

20160114 - WI 95th Birthday MeetingJanuary 14th 2016 - WI 95th Birthday Meeting
Due to adverse weather conditions our fitness trainer was cancelled at the very last minute. Many members braved the snow and strong winds to join us for what turned out to be a very pleasant social evening. The splendid 95th birthday cake was cut by Barbara Beevor who’s Grandmother was the first president  when our institute began in 1921. What better way to spend a cold January evening, than with good friends enjoying indulgent food and drink with lots of girlie chatter. A great start to 2016, thanks everyone for braving the elements.

February 11th 2016 - Matters of the Heart
