Pakenham WI News - December 2014 / January 2015

Pakenham WI

Happy New Year!

December 11th  2014 – The Annual Christmas Dinner
What a great evening and such fun. The meal provided by Andrea was delicious, the company superb and the entertainment provided by the comedian Richard Whymark was hilarious.  I have never heard or seen so many of my members laugh or cry so much as when he removed his clothes !!! How do we follow this in 2015.

January 8th 2015 – Last minute Social Evening
We were delighted to welcome Judy as a new member, and Helen as our guest for the evening.
Sadly our scheduled speaker Dave, the Ixworth butcher was unable to join us due to a last minute family bereavement. We changed to a social evening, which was a lovely way to start the New Year. First on the programme was the Tracy Martin annual slide show spectacular, depicting the life of Pakenham WI 2014 told in pictures and music. Thanks Tracy, totally amazing. The committee then provided a selection of homemade refreshments via waitress service, which were delicious, thanks girls. We ended the evening with a Mr John Culley quiz, which was won by Bridget’s team, closely followed by Janet and another team (whose players names escape my memory) Congratulations and thanks to all especially John for coming up with the questions and pictures.
