July 12th 2012 - One Family's Experience Of The Holocaust
We have all read, listened to and seen documentaries about the appalling suffering of the Jews at the hands of the Nazis in the early 1940s. We relived those times again with Eva Clarke who told her mother Anka's story. A very moving account, telling of Anka's hidden pregnancy, her resourcefulness and determination to live for the sake of her unborn child. Also recounting the dignity and pride shown by millions of Jews, despite the horrendous suffering they endured. It also demanded we ponder again the wickedness of that heinous regime.
