TOGETHERNESS AT LAST...

20210518-WI MeetingMAY 18TH 2021 – FACE TO FACE COMMITTEE MEETING

Although a rather wet and miserable Tuesday evening it was a distinct ray of sunshine that heralded our first face to face meeting in many months. We christened Gill’s newly erected summer house with our company and a glass of pinot.!!!!

The brilliant news of the meeting was that as well as all our members re-joining for another year we have gained 7 new members all waiting to join us in July/August.

We all look forward to our Garden party supper in July and then in August resuming monthly meetings in the village hall, all on track unless covid rules are delayed on 21st June.

We are very keen to give our support to The Macmillan Cancer Charity hosting The World’s Biggest Coffee Morning at the end of September.

Many, many thanks to all the members who donated books to support the opening of the new memory room at the Brandon Nursing Home, so gratefully received by Ruth French.

We mourn the loss of one of our wonderful members Louise Croft, who sadly died recently and will be greatly missed by all her friends in Pakenham. God bless rest in peace dear lady.
