HAPPY NEW YEAR!

December was a busy and enjoyable festive month

December 3rd 2016.
Members enjoyed a Christmas Shop till you drop in Norwich followed by tea and another shop at Thetford Garden Centre on the way home.

8th December – WI Annual Christmas Dinner.
A wonderful way to start our Christmas festivities eating Andrea’s fabulous Christmas meal, drinking the best of wines and listening to our favourite Busker Boys, Alan and Harry. Thank you to everybody for making the evening so special.

2016121010th December – Flicks farewell at The Fox.
We were delighted to provide a delicious array of nibbles for the village’s farewell to our newly retired favourite postman Robert Flack.

2016121717th December 2016 - The Bassey Girls at The Seniors Christmas Dinner.
Thank you to my special team who put on a magnificent after dinner performance for the senior residents of the village.

20170112January 12th 2017 – A Social Evening.
Everyone braved the cold winter weather to mark the start of a new WI year for a purely social evening, and it was brilliant. We were delighted to welcome two new members Beryl and Louise and two prospective new members Sheila and June. 20170112We started with The Tracy Speilberg Martin annual slide show following all the events and outings of the year in pictures. A splendid portrayal of what must have been the busiest, and the most enjoyable year ever. Great job Tracy, thank you. After a wide array of refreshments and goodies served and made by the committee we welcomed our favourite quiz master John Culley with his annual quiz. Thank you John.

February 9th 2017 – The Suffolk Wild Life Trust.
I will be personally delighted to welcome the delightful Will Cranston for the evening to talk on the life and work of our local Wild Life Trust. I met Will at last year's Mill Food Fare Day and was so impressed by his personality and dedication to his career. It should be a good night.
