Pakenham WI News - May 2012

Pakenham WI

CompetitionThe Suffolk West Area of the W.I. ran a competition for local W.I.s to submit photographic entries, demonstrating a typical year in the life of their Institute. We rose to the challenge. When we are out and about we always use Perry's Private Hire, so agreed to use a bus as the 'vehicle' to display our photos. The judges were wowed and we won the cup scoring 29 out of 30. Well done Pakenham !

April 28th 2012 - Village Litter Pick

As might have been predicted it was another damp and drizzly day. A hardy band of volunteers showed up and off we set to clean up the roads around the village. We were amazed at the amount we collected. Over thirty bags full, plus 9 tyres, a computer and a bathroom sink!! A huge Thank You to all who helped and to St.Edmundsbury Rural Action Team for supplying all the gear and taking away everything we collected.
