Meeting of


7.30pm 24th January 2013, The Martin Room, St Mary's Church

Present: Cllr H Painter (Chairman); Cllr D Dorling, Cllr C Palfrey, Cllr I Brookman, Cllr R Griffin, Cllr M Bagnall. Mrs M Gardiner (clerk) was in attendance. 

1 - Apologies for absence: Cllr M Sargent

2 - Declarations of interest:-
When discussing possible sites for affordable housing Cllr Brookman declared an interest as he owns land in Fen Road. Cllr Griffin declared that he is occasionally involved in financial transactions with J Bryant and Son (landowners).

3 - Public Forum: No members of the public attended the meeting.

4 - Planning applications:-
SE/12/1303/HHCA – High House, The Street.
Erection of extension to garage and erection of pitched roof above as amended by Certificate B declaration received 7 January 2013.
Councillors have no objection to this application.

SE/13/0007/HH – Fenview Cottage, Fen Road.
Erection of (i) single storey rear extension and (ii) first floor extension above kitchen on rear elevation.
Councillors studied the plans for these extensions carefully and all Councillors agree that they have no objection.

TCA13/2397 – Bridge House, The Street.
(i) T1 - Yew - Reduce height by 0.6 metres to clear BT cables and reduce side by up to 1 metre to balance; (ii) T2 - Multi-stemmed ash - remove stem growing over stream and neighbour's garden and house; (iii) T3 - Beech - thin by 25%, raise crown by up to 1 metre removing lowest 2 small limbs and reduce upper crown by 2 metres; (iv) T4 - maple and T5 and T8 silver birch - fell; (c) T6 silver birch - remove secondary stem and thin by 15% (vi) T7 silver birch - thin by 15% and crown clean.
Councillors discussed the proposed works and agreed unanimously that they have no objection.

SE/13/0044/FULCA – Village Hall, The Street.
(i) Erection of timber storage shed (ii) reorientation to existing timber shed.
To be discussed at the next meeting.

5 - Date of next meeting:–
Wednesday 13th February 2013 at 7.30pm in the Village Hall.

The Chairman reported that he had received the resignation of the Parish Clerk. He will draft a letter, together with a job description and application form.

The Chairman closed the meeting at this point, although there were no public present.
