Reasons for the erection of agricultural buildings at Greenwoods Farm were explained by the applicant. He answered questions from several of his neighbours who were present at the meeting. He aims to keep the sheep as a hobby, not as a commercial enterprise.

3 - Declaration of interest: none.

4 - Planning applications:

SE/09/0891 - Greenwoods Farm, Fen Road.
Erection of agricultural buildings complex comprising of 2 no.sheep shelters, equipment and fodder store.
Councillors discussed the application, particularly considering the size and height of the proposed buildings. Councillors unanimously agreed that they had no objection to the proposal. They suggested to the applicant that if the building were to be dark green, it might blend in better with the landscape.

SE/09/0889 - Linden House, Church Hill.
Erection of conservatory to rear elevation(revised scheme to SE/09/0185)

The plans for this amended application were carefully considered. Councillors agreed unanimously to object to the plans as they stand due to the visual impact. They feel that a hipped end to the lantern light would be less obtrusive and would match the line of the roof of the existing house.

Application withdrawn
SE/09/0791 - Millers Meadow, Grimstone End
