PAKENHAM PARISH COUNCIL
held on Thursday 12th July 2007 at 7.30pm
in the Village Hall, Pakenham
Present: Cllr H Painter, Cllr R Griffin, Cllr D Dorling and Cllr A Kibbel. 6 members of the public also attended. Mrs M Gardiner (clerk) was in attendance.

2 - Members' declarations of interest: none.
3 - Public Forum:
Several members of the village attended the meeting in order to bring to the Council's attention the possibility of a large number of pigs being kept in fields close to Pakenham village. Councillors agreed to make this matter an agenda item for the next meeting and to invite the landowner to attend.
4 - Planning application:
SE/07/0821 - West View, Brand Road, Gt Barton.
(i)erection of new kennel block to provide 8 kennels
(ii)extension to existing block to provide 2 additional kennels
Mr M Bagnell attended the meeting and explained his proposals to the Council.
The meeting was convened and Councillors agreed that they had no objection to this application.
5 - Open Forum:
Tree behind Manor Garth - A tree suffering from Dutch Elm disease has been reported. Cllr Dorling has contacted Wayne Jarvis for a quotation to remove the tree. It was agreed that, if the quotation was under £300, Cllr Dorling should arrange for the work to be carried out as soon as possible.
Additional inscription on headstone - Agreed.
Affordable homes - Stephen Murphy asked for names of residents who might be interested in the affordable homes on the Shetland Boats site. Cllr Painter will follow this up with the Planning Dept.
